8/27/2023 0 Comments Kose medicated sekkisei emulsion![]() Without notions of Japanese I found it actually quite challenging to choose the version I wanted. Finally I went for the so-called medicated Sekkisei version. The catch is that the bottle looks almost exactly the same for each one of its different versions. Sekkisai also offers day creams, serums, lotions and so on – and they all look the same, if not for the little note on the store shelf! The Sekkisei emulsion also exists in different formulas depending on your skin needs. It is quite likely that every Japanese woman has used the Sekkisei emulsion at least once in her life. This little blue bottle found its home in almost every drugstore and supermarket in Japan. In Japan, this product is literally everywhere. Launched in 1985, this Sekkisei has thousands of beauty followers all over the world. I saw it in every article that was listing the best Japanese skincare products, so of course I had to give it a try. Overall a really good moisturizer but a tad expensive and is not recommended for those with oily skin (as this is a more heavy moisturizer). One of the products I definitely wanted to bring from my trip to Japan, was the mythical Sekkisei by Kosé. ![]() There is a nice faint scent that comes from this product that you don’t really notice. After using this product my skin felt very soft and if you use it at night, you will wake up the next morning to find your skin feeling really smooth as well. It is very moisturizing, keeps the moisture locked in your skin and it doesn’t feel greasy. Using this product along with the cosmetic lotion from the Medicated Sekkisei series for around a month and already your skin becomes a lot whiter and the elasticity of your skin is enhanced making your skin look suppler. Overall I really like the simple and pretty design.Ī really good moisturizer that has amazing whitening effects when used continuously. The pump is really easy to use, and the bottle is a nice size but probably still too big to take out travelling. There are no instructions on the bottle but there should be an instructions booklet in the box. The bottle has a dark blue tinted body with white printed labels on it and comes with a pump and a lid with a silver rim on the top. (Recommended that you apply after using the Kose Medicated Sekkisei Cosmetic Lotion) To apply this, pump a few times to get the right dosage (over 1ml) and go over the skin. Inhibits melanin production and prevents not only dark spots or freckles caused by sun but also dryness or irritation. Comfortable and fresh end-feel lasts long. Moisture Balance Polymer keeps the best moist balance, regardless of the seasons and skin types. There are five different kinds of botanic extracts incorporated such as Inula Japonica Thunb, Coix Seed, Mountain Bark, Melothria and Angelica to help skin appear translucent. It stays deeply in layer to help skin look elastic and white. ![]() This Kose Medicated Sekkisei Emulsion is a heavyweight serum has high emollient effect on the skin that doesn’t leave a sticky feeling after application. The longest period I have used this product for was around 1 year, along with the Kose Medicated Sekkisei Cosmetic Lotion. ![]() As I have already used up the emulsion I didn’t have the bottle to take photos of…but I’m sure you guys won’t mind right? As I have said before I really like the Kose products and this Medicated Sekkisei series is really a good set to use when you want to whiten your skin. If you look through some of my older reviews you might notice my old post on the Kose Medicated Sekkisei Cosmetic Lotion.
